“Pre.serve Con.serve. Re.serve. by Coral Maloney invites us to speculate about the place of preserving and food preparation in an upper-class Victorian context in Winnipeg. Whose memories do we choose to keep? Whose do we choose to leave behind? It is part of Phantasmagoria, an art show on the theme of spooky, ghostly Victorian magic-lantern projections at Dalnavert” – John Woods / Winnipeg Free Press. Curator: Jenny Bisch – Dalnavert Museum – Winnipeg (2011)
The Preserving Project (I Love You This Much), is a participatory performance that uses traditional food preserving techniques to transform non-food stories and objects, providing a space to talk about food, nature, memory, nostalgia, and colonization.
